Refund Policy
National Institute of Dental Assisting
Effective date: October 10, 2026
This policy explains what you get back if you do not start the dental assisting program, or if you leave it after it begins. It follows the refund rules North Carolina sets for licensed proprietary schools.
1. If you withdraw before the first day of class
You receive a 100% refund of everything you have paid, including your $500 deposit.
2. If NIDA cancels your class
You receive a 100% refund of everything you have paid, including your $500 deposit. You may choose to move to a later class instead.
3. If you withdraw in the first 25% of the program
If you withdraw, or NIDA withdraws you, on or before the point where 25% of the program is complete, you receive a refund of 75% of the tuition for the program. For the 12-week program, the 25% point is the end of the third week. This only applies to payments made in full.
4. If you withdraw after the first 25% of the program
Tuition is not refundable after the 25% point. This only applies to payments made in full.
5. Payment plans
If you are on a payment plan, your refund is worked out on the full $3,500 tuition, not only on what you have paid so far. If you have paid more than you owe after the refund is calculated, we return the difference. If you have paid less, the remaining balance is still due.
6. How to withdraw
Tell us in writing that you are withdrawing. Email nidassisting@gmail.com or bring a signed note to the office. Your withdrawal date is the day we receive your notice.
7. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. If that is not possible, we send a check to the address on your application.
